Why Choose Us

Five Reasons Why

The technology used in the LASIK Procedure is very sophisticated (the systems used today have been in use for years) and very safe. Doctors have been performing laser vision procedures for over a decade, and more than 30 million procedures have been performed worldwide to date, making it one of the most common elective procedures in the world.

LASIK technology has been the subject of numerous clinical trials, in which patients have achieved:

  • Significant improvement in vision quality
  • No increase in unwanted glare, halos or night driving difficulty
  • High satisfaction with their results
  • They would choose the procedure again

In fact, all branches of the US military and NASA recently allowed the treatment of LASIK for their servicemen and women.

Latest Technology

Schwind AMARIS 1050RS excimer laser

Lions Laser Vision has invested over $1 million to purchase the first ever SCHWIND AMARIS 1050RS excimer laser to be brought to Western Australia. You can imagine, before we spent this kind of money on such an important piece of equipment we did plenty of research and we believe this is the best laser in the world today for LASIK.

There are so many features of the Schwind Amaris 1050RS that were considered important but the main benefit for you is the best possible result in the shortest possible time.

SCHWIND ATOS femtosecond laser

Lions Laser Vision, in another first for Australia, have invested in the latest laser technology, the SCHWIND ATOS femtosecond laser. The laser works by using very short laser pulse durations (within a few femtoseconds) to allow it to create a flap or lenticule within the cornea.

The SCHWIND ATOS has been designed around patient safety and excellent clinical results. The benefits include; intelligent eye tracking and pupil recognition to follow any small eye movements, better comfort for the patient utilising a curved patient interface that has an excellent fit to the eye, precision treatment through accurate centring even in higher prescriptions, generating a smooth corneal surface and fast recovery of vision after the procedure. Not all laser eye surgery is the same. Make sure you are trusting your eyes to the professionals who have been doing LASIK for many years.

Safe, Fast, Clear – Lions Laser Vision helps you to see the world through your own eyes.

Safety

Because you want your laser treatment to be safe and straightforward, we’ve made sure we have only the best surgeons working for us. All of our surgeons have been trained in corneal and refractive surgery at recognised international centres in the USA and UK. Each surgeon is also committed to ongoing research into laser vision correction, which means they are up to date with the latest best practice.

Precision

Together with our highly trained surgeons (including Dr Steven Wiffen and Dr Andrea Ang),  we also offer precision equipment. We are equipped with the latest diagnostics and treatment technologies. This equipment gives us the greatest possible precision during your treatment.

Personalised Treatment

Laser and computer technology has improved so much that we can now provide vision correction optimised exactly for your eyes. Customised or personalised treatment corrects your individual refractive changes based on your individual “wavefront” as measured by our advanced diagnostic equipment.

We use our diagnostic technology to take a topographic map of your eyes which measures the shape, thickness and any minor imperfections. We also use a laser to measure the inside of your eyes and how each eye focuses. This data is then analysed and a treatment calculated to make the shape of your eyes as close as possible to perfect, the result: high definition vision.

See the world through your own eyes today.
